APLPT Sydney Poker Series

The APLPT Sydney at the sensational Canterbury Hurlestone Park RSL was a smashing success! With 3,432 entries across 6 days, the series generated an impressive prize pool of $1,080,255 across 31 events. Here are the highlights from the Main Event and the Jackstar Super High Roller.

Main Event Wrap-Up

In a dramatic turn of events, twin brothers Troy and Jack Sweet both found success on the final day of the APLPT Sydney. Troy clinched victory in the Sunday NLH, while Jack progressed to the final table of the Main Event. With Troy cheering from the sidelines, Jack's chip count soared, eventually leading him to a triumphant win. Overcome with emotion, Jack exclaimed, "I'm not going to be able to speak properly. It feels amazing." This victory marks Jack's best live cash and his first poker trophy. The 20-year-old, who balances his studies in Applied Math at UNSW with his passion for golf and cricket, plans to play more poker following this win.

Jackstar Super High Roller Wrap-Up

Sydney’s own Erden Ibrahim emerged victorious in the Jackstar Super High Roller event. Previously, Erden's best cash was a $62,500 win at WPTLC at St. John’s Park last October. His latest triumph, which saw him taking home over $73,000, not only sets a new personal best but also earns him his first series trophy.
